Early Bauernwehr or hunting knife circa late 14thC. You will see very similar pieces in artworks, particularly those of Gaston Phoebus. 

Boxwood handle, brass pins and some file work to the spine. 

Double layer veg tan, decorated leather sheath dyed dark brown.
