This special release of Oliva Serie V was initially meant to be a one-off limited run last year. However, the response from the market was so strong that Oliva decided to bring it out annually, with two releases per year.

The blend in this "re-release" remains the same – Nicaraguan binder and filler, wrapped in Ecuadoran leaf. While it's classed as a "perfecto" shape in Oliva's taxonomy, since the heads on these aren't tapered, some would say it'd be more accurate to class it as a "figurado".

Overall, this is one of the most complex flavour profiles in Oliva's portfolio – expect notes of earth, leather, dark chocolate and nuts, as well as a degree of sweetness and spice on the retrohale, typical for Serie V.
